Kyoto, a former capital of Japan after it was moved from Nara, is a city of a thousand temples, shrines and gardens. The best place to commune and worship the nature, with more than 1000 years of history, is a place full of romantic spots to enjoy.

The city of Ten Thousand Shrines, Kyoto certainly lives up to the hype. The shrines and temples offer a rare link between modern life in the city and its very ancient past.

From walking through the ten thousand vermillion torii gates, to wandering in the fairy tale-like bamboo forest of Sagano, to geisha hunting in Gion; Kyoto has its own character to charm every visitor.
